Dags Hofrats · My why

I want to help people live with greater consciousness.

Because I want to belong to a world where people live with greater consciousness, where awareness, compassion, curiosity, and purpose guide how we think, act, and relate to one another.

I believe that when people raise their level of consciousness, they make intentional choices, build deeper connections, and create a more meaningful and peaceful world. I want to be part of that change and help make it possible for others.

How I found my why

Every challenge is an opportunity to grow. Every setback is a setup for a comeback.

  1. Early years — Early Entrepreneurial Flair

  3. 2019 — Vegan Pulled Mission

After stepping away from my pizza cone business—a venture I’d truly poured myself into—I took some time to travel through Southeast Asia, which was a much-needed break. The global shift away from plastic straws was a huge win for the planet, and it was something we at RICESTRAWS were incredibly passionate about. My name is Dags, a UK citizen living in Vietnam, and I had seen firsthand the devastating impact of plastic waste on the beautiful coastlines here in Southeast Asia. That’s why I started RICESTRAWS – to do my part for the environment. My small team and I were then focused on providing a genuine alternative to plastic.
